Dr. Gurdit Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Punjab Agricultural University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, and a B.Tech. from Punjab Technical University. With over 15 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Singh specializes in mobile sensing, image processing, cryptography, and secure wireless networks. His research contributions include projects on smartphone-based road surface monitoring, secure wireless mesh networks, and intelligent transportation systems, with funding from prestigious agencies like MeitY. He has published in reputed journals such as Pervasive and Mobile Computing and authored book chapters on artificial intelligence in agriculture. Dr. Singh’s ongoing work integrates machine learning with mobile sensor data to solve real-world problems in transportation and smart environments. He is a recognized researcher with IDs in OrcID, Scopus, WoS, and Google Scholar, and continues to contribute to both academia and applied research domains.

- Communication Assisted Road Transportation Systems (CARTS) project was funded by ITRA Media Lab Asia, initiated by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
- Wireless mesh networks: Analysis of routing protocols
- Worked on wireless mesh networks and studied various routing protocols and their drawbacks andcurrently working on a secure HWMP routing protocol for wireless mesh networks.
- Road Surface Condition Detection using Smartphone Sensors
- Worked on smartphone sensors which can detect the road surface conditions like pothole and bumpsby installing an Android application on smartphone.
