Field of Specialization: Processing and Food Engineering

Research Interests:

  1. Post harvest handling and processing of horticultural crops.
  2. Design and development of machinery related to food processing units.

Research Projects:

  1. Osmotic dehydration of aonla using honey.
  2. Development and evaluation of small scale garlic peeler.
  3. Development and evaluation of magnetic field assisted freezing of selected horticultural produce.
  4. Magnetic field assisted freezing process for horticultural produce- Patent Filed.
  5. Indo- UK project “Biobased packaging for fresh food (BioFreshPak)” funded by DBT and Innovate UK.
  6. Development of sensor platform for rapid detection of adulteration in turmeric powder under Mission of Tandrust Punjab:Safe Food.
