The University has 5 seed production farms, namely, Raja Harinder Singh Seed Farm, Faridkot, University Seed Farm, Ladhowal, University Seed Farm, Naraingarh, University Seed Farm, Nabha, and University Seed Farm, Usman. The infrastructure and manpower facilities collectively available at these farms is as under:

About 55 tractors; 40 trolleys; 7 seed processing plants; 1 potato seed processing plant; 1 vegetable seed processing plant with generator backup; seed stores having 70,000 q seed storage capacity; and all the required agricultural machinery 7 scientists at head office, 13 scientists at seed farms and about 100 supporting staff work together to implement seed production program of PAU.

In addition, Director (Seeds), Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana also extends support to the Punjab Government for formulating policies in seed production, distribution and sale.
