The candidates of the following categories will be taken in the 3rd round of Counseling:-
- Outstanding Sportspersons (SP)
- Persons with disability (DP)
- Children of in-service/ex-service armed forces/CRP/ BSF Officers/Officials (including officials who died during their service)/Children/widows of Paramilitary Forces personnel, Punjab Police, PAP and Punjab Home Guards killed or disabled in action to the extent of 50% or more and wards of Punjab Policemen decorated with Gallantry Medals (AF)
- Terrorists (TA) Affected category:
- Children of the families of persons killed as a result of terrorist violence or during operation by security forces acting in aid of civil power and/or children of innocent civilians who have sustained 100% disability in terrorist violence or during operation by security forces acting in aid of civil power.
- Children of persons killed/100% physically disabled in November, 1984 riots and internal/external migrants.
- Children of army deserters killed/100% physically disabled.
- PAU wards
- Kashmiri Migrants(KM)
* Vacant seats left after 2nd Counseling by IKGPTU and ICAR will be filled by PAU in the 3rd counselling.
3rd Counseling schedule will be displayed at PAU website and leading newspapers. The allotment will be done on the basis of Inter-se-merit of qualifying examination (10+2 with PCM) and Counseling will be conducted by PAU.
