Dr Gurdev Singh Khush Foundation for Advancement of Agricultural Sciences shall hold its Annual Award Ceremony to felicitate meritorious undergraduate students of rural areas for 12 programmes of eight constituent colleges of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana and Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana. The Deans of the constituent colleges of PAU and GADVASU, under the chairmanship of Dean CoA, PAU, and Dean CoVSc, GADVASU, respectively, have completed the selection of students for the award of GS Khush Scholarships for the academic year 2022-23. This year 57 students have been selected for scholarships based on the highest OCPA among the students of rural areas. In addition, ten travel grants will be awarded to the students/research scholars/scientists to attend national and international conferences. In addition, the second Dr Darshan Singh Brar Award in Agriculture for 2022, and the first Dr Darshan Singh Brar Young Scientist Award 2022 shall also be presented on the same day.
Dr GS Khush Foundation, has been organizing this Awards Ceremony since 2013, and so far, the Foundation has awarded 538 scholarships, 86 travel grants, four team awards and organized eight guest lectures by eminent scientists. Dr SS Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest of the occasion which will be graced by the renowned rice breeder and agricultural stalwart, Dr GS Khush, Chairperson of the Foundation; Dr. Harwant Kaur Khush, Vice-Chairperson of the Foundation; Dr Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU; Members of the Board of Management, PAU, dignitaries, faculty and students. |
