In a bid to empower women in rural areas, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bathinda,has organized a comprehensive ten-day vocational training course from April 4th to April 22nd, 2024. The course focuses on enhancing the value of garments through the application of both traditional and modern decoration techniques.

Dr Gurdeep Singh Sidhu, Deputy Director of KVK, Bathinda, emphasized the significance of vocational training during the inaugural ceremony. He encouraged women from various villages, including Kothe Kaur Singh, Bandi, Laleyana, Seman, Jodhpur Romana, Joganand, Mallwala, Bhucho Kalan, Bhagi Bandar, Kalyan Sukha, Dumwali, Gurusar Sainewala, Jhanda Kalan, Kot Bhai, and Sri Muktsar Sahib, to participate actively.

Under the guidance of Course Coordinator Prof Jaswinder Kaur Brar, the training curriculum encompasses a wide array of skills such as sewing, embroidery, painting, tie-dye, and quilting. The aim is to equip women with the necessary knowledge and techniques to generate income from the comfort of their homes.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive certificates as recognition of their newly acquired skills, empowering them to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors and contribute to their households and communities positively.
