Farmers from different parts of Punjab interacted with the experts of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) during the live episode of the programme “Your Queries, Answers by PAU Experts” on Facebook page of PAU. Farmers sought solutions to the issues regarding kharif crops.

Dr JS Brar, a fruit science expert, explained the disease management of horticultural crops during the rainy season, and production and protection techniques for fruit cultivation.

Dr Vijay Kumar, entomology expert, provided tips for whitefly management in cotton. He advised the cotton growers to monitor their fields regularly and take all control measures to manage whitefly.

Dr KB Singh, Senior Extension Specialist, stressed on the need based use of agro chemicals.

Dr Madhu, a floriculture expert, delved on plantation techniques during rainy season.

During the programme, farmers were also provided information regarding organic farming and newly recommended production techniques.
