Ms Vitasta Dhawan, a Ph.D researcher in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has bought honour to the institution by achieving the award of ICSSR Full-Term Centrally-Administered Doctoral Fellowship, to work on the study entitled “Quantitative and qualitative assessment of social support and digital addiction as correlates of purpose in life among adolescents.” For this achievement, ICSSR will reward her with a fellowship of Rs 2,40,000/- for 12 months with the addition of a contingency grant of Rs 20,000/- per year.

Another Ph.D student of the department Ms Nishita Singh, received the Savitribai Jyotirao Phule Single Girl Child Fellowship (SJSGC), to work on the study entitled “Comparative analysis of career decision making among urban low and high achievers of three states”. The UGC will reward her with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) amounting Rs 3,72,000/- per year for the coming three years with additional contingency grant of Rs 10,000/- per year.
