With the beginning of the admission procedure for the academic session 2024-25, the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has called upon the candidates residing in Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh to apply in time for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as diploma and certificate courses.

Giving details, Mr Rishi Pal Singh, Registrar, informed that Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture 4-year, B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture 4-year, B.Tech. (Biotechnology) 4-year, B.Tech. Food Technology 4-year, B.Sc. (Hons) Nutrition and Dietetics 4-year, B.Sc (Hons) Agribusiness Management 4-year, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) 4-year, and 5-year Integrated M.Sc. (Hons) programmes is slated to be held on June 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT) for admission to B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture 2+4 year programme at the Institute of Agriculture, Gurdaspur and Bathinda is scheduled to take place on June 23, 2024, he told. The Ballowal Saunkhri Entrance Test for admission to B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture 4-year at the PAU-College of Agriculture, Ballowal Saunkhri will be held on June 7, 2024, he said.

Furthermore, while giving details, Mr Rishi Pal Singh informed that the whole admission process has been made online and the Prospectus as well as application form can be downloaded from PAU website www.pau.edu. The interested candidates can seek details concerning eligibility criteria, intake, entrance tests, fee and other related information by visiting the University website, he advised. The last date to apply for the academic programmes without late fee is May 17, 2024, whereas with late fee, it is May 24, 2024, he divulged.

Elaborating, the PAU Registrar said that the University is also offering B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science 4-year and B.Sc (Hons) Fashion Designing 4-year to its students. Besides, three courses including Diploma in Agriculture 2-year, Certificate Course in Early Childhood Care and Education 1-year and Certificate Course in Interior Design and decoration are also available for the students, he added.
