Six MBA and MBA Agri-business students from the School of Business Studies (SBS), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), have been awarded Certificates of Appreciation for displaying outstanding dedication and competence, while managing the Punjab Vermicomposting Training Centre stall during the Kisan Mela, held at PAU in March. Pertinently, Punjab Vermicomposting Training Centre is managed by PAU trained agripreneur Mr Gur Rajneesh. The six students comprised Riya Bishwas, Sakshi, Sonampreet Thind, Gagandeep Singh, Aryan Kasnia, and Kuljeetpal Singh.

Dr Ramandeep Singh, Director, SBS, PAU, while applauding the exceptional performance of the youths, highlighted the valuable contribution of the SBS faculty in providing students with practical experiences.This recognition serves as a testament to the SBS commitment for bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of sales and marketing, he observed. The SBS faculty actively guides students in developing an eager approach towards understanding how theoretical concepts translate into real-world scenarios to deal with consumers and markets, he told. Dr Singh also appreciated the efforts of the Extension Committee of the SBS for providing students with the opportunity to enhance their managerial skills. The School of Business Studies continuously strives to create opportunities for students’ growth and development, he said. Graduates and post-graduates are well-equipped for success in the ever-evolving business landscape, he stated.
