The Gender Equality Committee of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organized a ‘Poster and Collage Making Competition’ on the theme ‘Gender Neutral Society’ under the chairmanship of Dr Kiranjot Sidhu, Professor, Extension Education and Communication Management.

Dr Deepika Vig, Professor, Human Development and Family Studies, and Co-Chairperson of the committee, informed that the competition was organized with an aim to create an environment that is inclusive of all gender and identities without any discrimination or judgment based on their gender identities.

A total of 22 students from different constituent colleges of PAU participated in the competition. Judges for the competition were Dr Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director, Skill Development Center, and Ms Anchal, Instructor and Entrepreneur.

In the poster making competition, Ms Anamika Kottayi, College of Community Science; Ms Tanvi Bhatia, College of Horticulture and Forestry; and Ms Radhika Rani, College of Agriculture, secured the top three positions. In the collage making competition, Ms Japleen Kaur, College of Agriculture; Ms Harmanpreet Kaur, College of Horticulture and Forestry; and Ms Yashvi Thakur, College of Community Science, won the first, second and third prize, respectively. Participation certificates were also distributed to all the participants.
