NOTICE

Applications are invited on the prescribed form available in the office of the undersigned on payment of Rs. 200/- in the shape of bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. along with attested copies of certificates and passport size photograph for the post of Project Associate provided in the Adhoc project, “Phenotyping and Molecular Characterization of Snapmelon germplasm against fusarium wilt resistance for development of mapping population in Muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.)”. CSS-99 (PC-6363) at a fixed salary of Rs. 31000/- +16%HRA (for those who have qualified NET/Gate) and @25000/- plus 16% HRA PM Fixed (for those who have not qualified NET/Gate) for an initial period of six months from the date on which the incumbent joins or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier. The qualifications for this post are as under:

Essential:

1. B.Sc. Agri/Horticulture. B.Sc. Agriculture Biotechnology/ B.Sc. Basic Science with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.
2. M.Sc. in Vegetable Science /Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Agricultural Biotechnology /Botany with at least minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks and with NET/GATE may be recruited as Project Associate @31000+16% HRA.
   OR
3. M.Sc. in Vegetable Science /Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Agricultural Biotechnology /Botany with at least minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks and without NET/GATE may be recruited as Project Associate @25000+16% HRA.

Note1: The candidate, who does not possess Master,s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D degree in the discipline require at Master,s level, shall be eligible for the post

Note1: The Candidates, having Post Graduate Degree in subjects mentioned above, but having Bachelor, s degree with three years must have passed NET. However the Ph.D candidates are exempted from this condition. The candidates should ensures that they fulfill the qualification by the last dated of submission of application

Desirable: Preference will be given to candidate having experience in muskmelon breeding and marker selection

The last date for the receipt of applications duly complete in all respects in this office is 18.4.2022. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for interview on 21.4.2022 at 10.00 A.M. in the office of the undersigned. No separate intimation for the interview will be sent and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The amount of first one month salary payable to the Project Associate will be kept as security with the Head, Department of Vegetable Science and it will be paid to him/her as and when he/she leaves the service after giving the requisite one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one month’s salary. However, this will not hold good in respect of other assignments in PAU.
