NOTICE

Applications are invited on prescribed form along with the application fee of Rs. 200/- in shape of online payment on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana along with attested copies of certificates for this position in project as given below:

One post of Research Associate @ Rs. 47,000/- per month fixed + 16% HRA in the Project entitled “Molecular cloning and characterization of Xa38 loci conferring resistance to bacterial blight (BB) disease in rice and identification of novel and superior alleles’’ CSS-11(PC-6301).

For the position of Research Fellow/ Research Associate:

1. B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
2. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Plant Sciences/Life Science/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Plant Pathology with at least 6.50/10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.
3. Ph.D in the area of Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Plant Sciences/Life Science/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Plant Pathology with minimum OCPA 6.5/10.00 basis or 65% marks.

Note-I: The candidates, who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note-II: Candidate should possess excellent skills in the area of gene cloning, expression analysis, genetic transformation, protein-protein interactions etc. as evident from high quality first author publication(s) in peer reviewed journals. Background knowledge of host-pathogen interactions and ability to handle large datasets such as genomes or transcriptomes/metabolomes will be plus.
