Subject:- Filling up the post of Binding Assistant at a fixed salary of Rs. 9,973/- p.m. on contract basis for a period of six months in the PAU Printing Press.

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the post of Binding Assistant at a fixed salary of Rs. 9,973/- per month on contract basis for a period of six months with the following qualifications:-

1. Matriculation with Second division.
2. Diploma in Book Binding or 3 years experience of Book Binding in a reputed firm/agency.
3. Should have passed Punjabi up to Matric level.
4. Age not less than 18 years and not more than 37 years (Agerelaxation up to 45 years, who are already working on contract basis/DPL in the University).
5. Reservation will be applicable as per Punjab Government policy.

Note 1: Experience of working in recognised Press will be considered only.

Note 2: Practical test (One hour) for the post of Book Binding Assistant (on contract )

1. Half Cloth Binding 20 marks
2. Interleafing and Numbering 20 marks
3. Perforation 10 marks

The minimum qualifying marks for candidates to become eligible shall be 40% of total marks in the practical test irrespective of the category.

Note 3: ½ mark for each completed half year of technical experience in relevant field over and above the minimum required experience, if any will be awarded.

The desirous candidates fulfilling the required qualifications for the above mentioned post may apply in the attached application form along with prescribed Fee of Rs. 100/-in the shape of Bank Draft in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana and send the same to THE REGISTRAR, PAU, LUDHIANA (ROOM NO. 65) by 24.06.2022.

Note: Applications received after the due date/received without the application fee / incomplete applications shall not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit.
