PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, LUDHIANA

Applications are invited for filling-up of one post of Research Fellow @ Rs 31,000/- per month (fixed) + HRA 16% respectively, under the scheme, “PB knot-An innovative approach to manage pink bollworm in cotton, Misc-133 (PC-5174)” on the prescribed form available on the pau site on payment of Rs 200/- in the shape of bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana alongwith attested copies of certificates for an initial period of six months from the date the incumbent joins or till the termination of the scheme, whichever is earlier.

Qualifications:

1. B.Sc. (Agric.) / B.Sc. (Medical/non Medical) with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks

2. M.Sc. in Entomology / Plant Pathology / Zoology with minimum OCPA 6.50 / 10.00 basis or 65% marks

Note-I: The candidates, who does not possess Master's degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master's level, shall be eligible.

Note-II: The candidates having post graduate degree in subjects mentioned above, but having Bachelor’s degree with three years must have passed NET and two years experience. However, the Ph. D candidates are exempted from this condition. The candidate should ensure that they fulfill the qualification by the last date of submission of application.

Note-III: Desirable qualifications

1. Experience/Research work in relevant field: Candidate with rich working experience in rearing of cotton insect pests, insect bioassay and data recording of cotton insect pests.

The last date for the receipt of applications duly complete in all respects in this office is 23.08.2022. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for interview on 25.08.2022 at 11.00 A.M. in the office of the undersigned. No separate intimation for the interview will be sent and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The amount of first full month of fellowship payable to the Research Fellow will be kept as Security with the Head, Department of Entomology and it will be paid to him/her as and when he/she leaves the fellowship after giving the requisite one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one month’s fellowship. The Research Fellow resigning the fellowship shall have to give one month notice or have to deposit one month salary in lieu of one month notice.
