PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY
KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA, KHERI (SANGRUR)

Applications are invited for filling up the two posts of Extension Assistant (on contractual basis) against the post of Assistant Professor (Home Science) and Assistant Professor (Animal Science) provided in the scheme “Establishment of KVK at Kheri (Sangrur)” ICAR-57 (PC 2063) at fixed salary of Rs. 25,000/- p.m. for M.Sc. and Rs. 30,000/- p.m. for Ph.D degree holder with the following qualifications:

I. Extension Assistant against the post of Assistant Professor (Home Science)

1. B.Sc. (Home Science)
2. Master’s degree in any discipline of Home Science
3. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level.
4. 1. Must have passed Matric level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or second language)
   2. Proficiency in spoken Punjabi language.

Note1: A candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

II. Extension Assistant against the post of Assistant Professor (Animal Science)

1. B.V.Sc/ B.V.Sc & A.H./ B.Sc (Agri)
2. Master's degree in Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension/Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education/Livestock Production & Management/Animal Breeding/Animal Breeding & Genetics/Animal Nutrition/Animal Reproduction/Vety Gynecology & Obstetrics/Veterinary Medicine/Epidemiology & Preventive Veterinary Medicine/Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology.
3. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.0 at Master’s level.
4. 1. Must have passed Matric level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or second language)
   2. Proficiency in spoken Punjabi language.

Note2: A candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

The desirous candidates fulfilling the qualifications should send their applications on prescribed proforma complete in all respect along with attested copies of the testimonials and a Bank Draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana to the undersigned (Associate Director (Trg), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Village Kheri, Patran Road, District Sangrur) on or upto 30.11.2022. The applications received without fees/received after due date shall not be considered. The verification of documents of the candidates will be held in the O/o of the Director of Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana and the original certificates should be brought at the said date, time & venue. The date of verification of documents shall be intimated later on. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview. The tenure of the vacancy is for six months or till the regular incumbent joins on the respective post and the period of the tenure is likely to be extended on the performance of the incumbent.
