NOTICE

Applications are invited on prescribed form along with the application fee of Rs. 200/- in shape of online payment on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana along with attested copies of certificates for these positions in the Centre of Excellence project “Development and Integration of Advanced Genomic Technologies for Targeted Breeding” CSS-52 funded by Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, DBT, New Delhi.

1. Project Associate- I @ Rs 31,000/- per month fixed + 16% HRA (sub project Introgression and mapping for whitefly resistance and superior fiber quality in American Cotton (G. hirsutum L.) at Regional Research Station, Faridkot/ Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana

   Qualifications for the position of Project Associate-

   1. B. Sc. Biotechnology/Agriculture/ Horticulture/Biosciences with minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks
   2. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding and Genetics/Genetics/Molecular Biology/Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Plant Science with minimum OCPA of 6.5/10.00 OCPA of 65% marks

   Maximum age: 35 years

   Note-I: The candidates who do not possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess a Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at the Master’s level shall be eligible for the post.

   Note-II: Applicant must have passed the GATE/CSIR-UGC_NET/ARS-NET/DBT-BET or an equivalent national level test. If a suitable candidate with NET is not available, then non NET candidate can be selected at monthly emoluments of Rs. 25000+16% HRA

   Note-III: Desirable qualifications: Experience of working in the relevant area

   Note-IV: The candidates should ensure that they fulfill the qualifications by the last date of submission of application.

2. One post of Project Assistant @ Rs 20.000/- + 16% HRA at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana

Qualifications for the position of Project Assistant

1. B. Sc./B.Tech. Biotechnology/Computer Science/Information Technology with minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.

Maximum age: 35 years

Note-I: Desirable: M.Sc./M.Tech. Biotechnology/Computer Science/Information Technology
