NOTICE

Applications are invited on prescribed form along with the application fee of Rs. 200/- in shape of online payment on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana along with attested copies of certificates for one post of Project Scientist-1 @ Rs. 56,000/- + 16% HRA provided in the project “ Application of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in Agriculture –BIC at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana’’ CSS-09 (Financed by Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, DBT, New Delhi) with Qualifications as under.

Educational qualifications:

I. B. Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.

II. M.Sc. in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology/System Biology and Bioinformatics / Biotechnology /Molecular Biology with at least 6.50/10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.

III. Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ System Biology and Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology with minimum 6.50/10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.

Age Limit: 18 years to 35 Years

Note-I The Candidates who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note-II- Desirable Qualifications; Experience of working in Bioinformatics/ Genomics/ Machine Learning/ Database Designing and good experience in Programming Language as evident from good quality publications in peer reviewed journals.

Note- III- The position is purely on contract/ temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The position will be initially awarded for a period of six months and will be extended further based on performance.

The last date for the receipt of applications (duly completed in all respects) in this office is 04.05.2023. Incomplete applications or unsupported by the requisite documents will not be entertained. The candidate should appear for interview on 11.05.2023 at 11.00 A.M. in the office of undersigned. . Only selected candidates will be informed through email.
