Subject: Filling up of four posts of Teaching Assistants (Biology, Plant Breeding &Genetics, Agronomy, English) on contractual basis at PAU-College of Agriculture, Ballowal Saunkhri.

Four posts of Teaching Assistants (Biology, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Agronomy, English) are to be filled up in the scheme "Facilitating effective functioning at PAU, Misc.08 (PC-4715)” @ Rs. 35,000/- fixed p.m. for M.Sc.& Rs. 40,000/- p.m. fixed for Ph.D. as per following:

*The qualifications for the above posts are given in Annexure-I

The desirous candidates fulfilling the qualifications should send their applications on plain paper complete in all respect along with attested copies of the testimonials and a bank draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana to the undersigned (Dean, PAU-College of Agriculture, Ballowal Saunkhri, P.O. Takarla, Tehsil Balachaur-144521, Distt. S.B.S. Nagar). The last date to apply for the above said posts is 10/08/2023. The applications received without fees/received after due date shall not be considered. The screening of documents for these posts will be in the o/o Dean, College of Agriculture, PAU, Ludhiana at the dates mentioned above. The original copies of the testimonials should be brought at the time of screening of documents. No TA/DA will be given for attending the Screening.

Qualifications for the post of Teaching Assistant (Biology)

1. B.Sc (Medical)/ B.Sc (Agriculture)
2. Master’s degree in Botony / Plant Physiology.
3. At least 60% marks or OCPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.0 at Master’s level.
4. Matric level certificate of Punjabi Language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or Second language).

Qualifications of the post of Teaching Assistant (Plant Breeding &Genetics)

1. B.Sc(Agri.)/B.Sc(Hort.)/B.Sc(Forestry)/B.Sc(Med.)/B.Sc(Biotechnology in Plant Sciences) /B.Tech(Biotechnology in Plant Sciences)
2. Master’s degree in Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Genetics (Crop Plants).
3. At least 60% marks or OCPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.0 at Master’s level.
4. Matric level certificate of Punjabi Language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or Second language).

Qualifications for the post of Teaching Assistant (Agronomy)

1. B.Sc(Agri.)/B.Sc(Hort.)/B.Sc(Forestry)
2. Master’s degree in Agronomy
3. At least 60% marks or OCPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.0 at Master’s level.
4. Matric level certificate of Punjabi Language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or second language).

Qualifications for the post of Teaching Assistant (English)

1. Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Master’s in English.
3. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 60% marks or OCPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 at Master’s level.
4. Matric level certificate of Punjabi Language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or Second language).

Note: A candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level shall be eligible for the post.
