Applications are invited on the prescribed format for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) @ Rs. 31000/+ HRA (as per norms) in the SERB sponsored research project entitled “Statistical evaluation of regional inequalities in the socioeconomic development among states of India" CSS-95 (PC-6416)" under the supervision of Dr. Amrit Kaur Mahal, Professor of Statistics. The application should be supported with attested copies of certificates and a demand draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of the Comptroller, PAU payable at Ludhiana. The post is for a period of six months or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier. The details about the position and minimum qualification are as follows:
Essential Qualification:
- B.Sc. (Non-medical) / B.A with Mathematics / B.Sc. Agriculture/ B.A with Economics with minimum OGPA of 6.0/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
- M.Sc. Statistics /M.Sc. Agricultural Economics/ M.A. Economics with minimum OGPA of 6.5/10.00 basis or 65% marks with NET qualification (SERB requirement copy enclosed).
Note I: The candidate who does not possess Master's Degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Master's level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note II: Desirable qualifications if necessary, amy be added as per the requirement. The candidtae must have passed NET, However, Ph.D candidates are exempted from this condition.
The last date for the receipt of applications (duly completed in all respects) in this office is 04-12-2023. Incomplete applications or unsupported by the requisite documents will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for interview on 07-12-2023 at 11.00 A.M. in the office of the undersigned (Room No.114 P.G Building, PAU, Ludhiana). No separate information for interview will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
