Applications are invited on the prescribed proforma available in office of the undersigned on payment of Rs.200/- in the shape of bank draft in favour of the Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana on any working day along with attested copies of certificates for the post of hiring One Junior Research Fellow on contract basis at a fixed salary of Rs. 31,000/- per month (fixed) + 16 % HRA provided in the scheme “ Statistical evaluation of regional inequalities in the socio-economic development among states of India” CSS-95 (PC-6416) funded by SERB New Delhi for a period of six months or till the end of current financial year i.e. upto 31.03.2024, whichever is earlier.

Essential Qualification:

1. B.Sc. / B.A with Mathematics or Statistics or Economics / B.Sc. Agriculture or Forestry/ B.Sc. / B. Tech Computer Science with minimum OGPA of 6.0/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
2. M.Sc. Statistics /M.Sc. Agricultural Economics/ M.A. Economics/M.Sc. Computer Sceince / MCA with minimum OGPA of 6.5/10.00 basis or 65% marks with NET qualification (SERB requirement copy enclosed).

Note I: The candidate who does not possess Master's Degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Master's level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note II: Desirable qualifications if necessary, any be added as per the requirement. The candidtae must have passed NET, However, Ph.D candidates are exempted from this condition.

Note III: If the candidate without NET is engaged, he or she will be engaged at the emouloments of Rs. 25000/- + 16% HRA

Note IV: Candidtaes with distance education will not be allowed.

The last date for receipt of application in this office (duly completed in all respects) is 31.01.2024. Incomplete applications or unsupported by the documents will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for interview on 02.02.2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the office of undersigned. No separate information for interview will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
