The Regional Research Station, Ballowal Saunkhri has following infrastructural facilities:

Experimental area: The total farm experimental area of about 330 acres including experimental fields, orchard, fruit nursery, forest area, implement sheds etc.is well laid out. The farm area is protected from outside by the boundary wall and barbed wire.

Modernized labs: The station has a well-established Laboratories of Agronomy, Soil Science, Soil Water Engineering, Horticulture and Plant Protection which are equipped with latest equipment’s to facilitate the research and teaching. This research station is well equipped with computers and high-speed internet connectivity.

Agrometeorological observatory: An Agrometeorological observatory equipped with advanced Agrometeorological instruments such as Single Stevenson Screen (containing maximum, minimum, dry bulb and wet bulb thermometers), Ordinary Rain Gauge, Self- recording Rain Gauge, Open Pan Evaporimeter, Soil Thermometer (05 cm, 10 cm and 20 cm soil depth), Anemometer, Wind Vane and Campbell Stroke Sunshine Recorder has been established by India Meteorological Department (IMD) at this station. Besides, automatic weather station (AWS) with advanced sensors is also functioning for recording daily weather parameters.

Residential quarters: There are eighteen 14-type, eighteen 12-type, ten 10-type and two 8-type residential quarters for the supporting staff and scientists apart from Director’s residence. The campus is located in the Shivalik foothills of Punjab and connects well through road.
