Education:B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) 5 year, PAU, Ludhiana (1992); M.Sc. (Soils), PAU, Ludhiana (1995 ); Ph.D. (Soils), PAU, Ludhiana (2006)

Positions held: Joined PAU in 1996 as Assisant Soil Scientist at Zonal Research Station for Kandi Area, Ballowal Saunkhri, Balachaur (District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar). Got transferred to the Department of Soil Science, PAU, Ludhiana in 2005;Assistant Soil Chemist, PAU, Ludhiana (2005-2006); Soil Chemist(2006-2012); Senior Soil Chemist ( 2012 onwards)

Field of Specialization :Soil Fertility

Research Interests :

1. Carbon sequestration

2. Ground water quality

Research Projects:

1. Prediction, assessment and enhancement of biotic carbon sequestration in soils

2. Development of technology for efficient water and nutrient management for sustainable crop production
